Hello yogi,
‘Tis the season for giving and great health! One of the reasons that I took the YogaWorks 200–hour Teacher Training was to balance my own health, creativity, and anxiety.
I completed my first yoga certification in 2000 before I knew of YogaWorks and I would repeatedly teach the same poses and identical sequences every week. I loved yoga but felt stagnant in my teaching and my own practice. YogaWorks built a studio in my city and my yoga changed. I started teaching fitness classes there and I noticed a difference in the methodology from my fellow teachers. The YW instructions were intelligent, fun, and clear as well as I had intricate muscles that were sore for the first time in all my decades of sports and dance.
I took my studio‘s first offering of the 200–hour training and it was MIND blowing. The YogaWorks method complimented my teaching style, gave me confidence, and challenged my body-mind connection. I finally felt safe in my practice after years of a reoccurring hamstrings pull from running and continue to use the pranayama (breath-work) everyday to soothe my anxiety. Plus my classmates and I are still wonderful friends today and I have a built-in support team with my amazing trainers. I was so inspired that I became a YogaWorks Trainer myself, and even launched my own Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga Training. YogaWorks has improved my life, my community, my health, my teaching method and my career all for the best.
